Thread: 350Z with a Corvette LS V8 swap

  1. #1

Default 350Z with a Corvette LS V8 swap

I saw the picture in Hot Compact & Imports magazine from HIN Boston 08 show.

All it showed was the engine bay. Was definetly a 350Z engine bay, and def a LS V8 with Corevette on it.

I tired searching the intranetz for any article or pics of this beast with no luck.

If you find any post them here please.

    Thanks

Wow, 800rwhp on spray? I thinks not. He did something cool, and has to act like an enema by making up fake numbers and ruin it. That's right, he's an enema, douches at least get to flow from the good place and he doesn't even get that dignity.

The best of heads/cam setups won't make that much power without a 300 shot, it's an absurd number. Considering it still has the stock LS2 intake, I'd bet it doesn't have anything better than stock heads, he could have a cam though. He's got a Zex single nozzle wet system, that's good for 150hp. At best, if he has a seriously cam (which would be hurting with his stock intake), and if he's spraying the max of his wet system. . .he's making 550rwhp. That's BEST case senario. I have a sneaking suspicion that he has a stock LS2 with spray. It's still cool, but the power claim is beyond ludacrus.

Dyno numbers can be fudged and mods can be exagerated, the only numbers that count are teh one's you can put down on some type of track.

My lug nuts require more torque than your car makes.

I think he was pulling their leg. I have read more than 47 pages on that build on www.My350Z.com and he continually avoided answering the question about whp. I think 500whp is about in the ballpark though.

Interior looks like SHIT! That car has an asking price of 50k, I hope they total it in a car wreck and get the 15k it's worth.

I don't see how the car is worth more than 25-30 as it sits now.

People swap engines all the time -- That asking price is stupid. And the car's interior looks like complete balls.
